Archdiocese of Birmingham
July 2020
Hello to our seminarians
Meet the diocese's seminarians, introduced by His Grace Archbishop Longley on Zoom.
Do you have any questions for the four due to be ordained this year?
Due to the current pandemic the ordinations will now take place in September instead of this month (July), to allow for a bigger congregation.
Meet the seminarians
Reopening our Churches
It is wonderful news that over 170 churches across the Archdiocese have now reopened for individual prayer and/or public worship.
Churches are opening at different times and on different days and you are advised to check the parish website, or call ahead, to ensure it is open before you travel.
All parishes have undertaken a thorough Risk Assessment before they open.
When you visit a church please follow the guidance in place to ensure safety at all times.
Divine Renovation
Attached you will find news and information from the latest Divine Renovation newsletter.
It's great to see the Archdiocese of Birmingham getting a mention - the highest number of parishes downloading the DR Covid Parish Resource Kit was from our Archdiocese.
Divine Renovation offer valuable information and resources which are proving a great support as we start to embrace the work Towards a Diocesan Vision: Unfolding God's Plan.

Supporting Your Parish
You have asked us how you can continue giving to your parish during the pandemic.
Parishes still greatly need your support, even more so without their weekly congregations and visitors.
We do though recognise that many parishioners may be struggling financially, and there is no expectation to give where you are unable to do so.
You can donate via standing order or single donation.
